Maria is the Export Controls Associate at the Export Compliance Training Institute.
In her previous role as a Project Lead at CRDF Global, she spearheaded capacity-building trainings focused on sanctions compliance related to North Korea and Iran. Additionally, Maria served as a Research Associate at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, where she was dedicated to open-source research, 3D modeling, and analyzing countries’ ballistic missiles and nuclear advancements.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from Northeastern University and a Master of Arts in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies with a Specialization in Financial Crime Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS).
Originally from Quito, Ecuador, Maria now resides in the Miami area. During her free time, Maria likes to travel and paint abstract images.
